Our flying field

SSMAC has the exclusive use of the flying site located at Fields 1 & 2 of the Barden Ridge Sporting Complex, Recreation Drive, Barden Ridge, NSW

Field Layout

ALL MEMBERS MUST REMAIN BEHIND FLIGHT LINE WHEN FLYING

TAKE-OFF AND LANDING IS PERMITTED ANYWHERE BEYOND FLIGHT LINE, BUT PILOTS MUST REMAIN BEHIND FLIGHT LINE.

NO TAKING OFF OR LANDING PERMITTED TOWARDS THE PITS

PILOTS MUST ANNOUNCE AS APPLICABLE THE FOLLOWING:

"TAKING OFF"

"LANDING"

"ON THE FIELD"

" HEADS UP"

"LOW PASS"

NO ENGINE RUNS PERMITTED IN PIT AREA

PILOTS MUST NOT "PUSH" POOR/FAST APPROACHES, A GO-AROUND SHOULD BE PERFORMED AND A NEW ATTEMPT MADE.

field availability

Fields 1 & 2 are available most weekdays.

At times school sports and carnivals and special events have priority use, and no flying will be allowed.

Weekend mornings are limited due to Soccer & Cricket bookings. Early starters

can fly before participants arrive for these events.

Sutherland Shire Council permits only members of SSMAC to fly at these fields.
